Camarilla Venue Setting:

The Camarilla has held power within the City of London for countless mortal generations, and the kindred throne has passed between two clans for the majority of that time.
Originally, the city was ruled over by Clan Ventrue, but in more recent centuries, it has passed into the hands of Clan Toreador.
For three hundred years, the throne was held by Lord Alexander Harrington of the Clan of the Rose. He was trusted and respected by the kindred dwelling within his city, and succeeded in dissuading those who believed that his clan were nothing more than socialites and dilettantes, proving himself to be a wise and fair ruler.
It was Lord Harrington who originally allowed a ragtag band of anarchs to reside in the city's dockland area. Due to the fair treatment they received from the Prince, the anarchs gave him a grudging respect as a man, if not as their leader.
It was also Lord Harrington who permitted a small contingent of Clan Giovanni to make their haven openly in a particular area of the city. The eldest member of the Italian clan swore not to forget the Prince's treatment of his family.
Against all odds, under the Prince's leadership, London flourished and became known as a peaceful city which provided a safe haven for kindred fleeing from the Sabbat hordes in mainland Europe.

This period of peace and safety for the city's kindred was sadly not to last, however.
In recent nights word began to spread of a Sabbat pack led by an infamous Lasombra Bishop, which had travelled over the Channel and established headquarters to the far south of the city.
Before long, sporadic attacks began to be launched in and around the city. Despite the Camarilla forces within London, the Bishop, a tactical genius, was not to be stopped.
Eventually the attacks became so frequent that no Camarilla members felt safe within their own havens anymore.
The Prince made a difficult decision and called upon both other kindred groups dwelling within his city. Both Zac Marshall, the anarch leader, and Valentine Giovanni, family elder and local don, agreed to fight alongside the Camarilla to rid the city of the Sabbat threat.
The next Sabbat attack launched upon the city was met by a larger, more powerful allied defensive force. The Sabbat monsters were finally pushed back and almost all destroyed, with only a handful surviving to return to Kent to regroup and lick their wounds.
However, the celebrations were cut short when the news spread that the Prince, never one to allow his subjects to fight alone, had sadly met Final Death when his group had become outnumbered by loathsome Tzimisce warghouls. Despite fighting bravely, Lord Harrington had been slain.

At this point in time, the Camarilla court of London need to face the job of replacing their beloved leader...but thankfully an erstwhile replacement may already be within the city in the form of Mychaela DeLuvia, a clanmate and old friend of the late Prince.
It will be seen in the coming nights whether or not London does indeed have a new, enigmatic Toreador on her throne, and only time will tell how successful this new monarch will be at retaining old alliances and averting new threats...

Setting for Independent Characters:

Zac Marshall wasn't stupid, he knew that settling down in London would mean rubbing shoulders with stuck-up Camarilla snobs, after all, they ran the entire bloody city, but he and his pack-mates had just arrived back in England after spending the last three years fighting Sabbat freaks in mainland Europe, and he was anxious to spend a bit of quiet time within his home city. He therefore decided that to avoid the usual hassles and strife of so-called Camarilla "justice", he would do things their way...well, sort of. At least he would announce the presence of himself and his crew, let the kindred men in suits know that they would be living and hunting in the dockland areas down by the Thames. Even then, he expected some kind of resistence, but to his surprise, there was none. The current Prince, Lord somethin' or other, was quite happy for them to be there, as long as they upheld the precious Masquerade. Well duh, he knew that much, he was no wet behind the ears neonate! But the guy in charge didn't seem half as bad as some of the Cammies he'd had dealings with in the past, in fact, Zac hated to admit it, but he actually kinda respected the guy. He seemed to have balls...for a Torrie.
At the end of the day (or night?) though, none of that really mattered. The important thing was that Zac and the guys had a secure haven and rich hunting grounds...and no trouble unless they went looking for it! Just what they needed.
Later, when the fighting began, Zac and his boys were only too happy to answer the Prince's call for arms. Fuckin' Sabbat bastards! He'd lost too many good friends in Europe thanks to these clowns...he didn't intend to lose anymore...even if it did mean fighting alongside Cammmies. After all, what did it really matter anyway? In Final Death, they'd all be equal!

When Valentine Giovanni saw a gap in the market, he didn't wait around for someone else to jump in, he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Therefore, as soon as he heard about the death of Tobias Benetucci, the mortal crime lord who ran London's criminal underworld, he knew there would be an opening for someone with the balls to fill it...and that someone would be him!
Relocating in London was not a problem, with the Giovanni family's fortune at his disposal, he was able to secure the Royal Venetian, a traditional Italian-style hotel in the fashionable, but discreet St. John's Wood area of the city. And so, with an unspoken agreement with the Camarilla Prince which prevented interruptions from that quarter, Valentine was able to calmly, yet efficiently take over London's world of organised crime.
However, as time went on and the Sabbat assaults began, Valentine and his family became concerned. Mortals were obviously being caught up in the kindred battles, property throughout the city was damaged. These things, they knew, had the potential to bring the attention of the local mortal authorities to their doorstep, as the idiotic media were speculating that the cause of the sporadic violence throughout the city was undoubtedly a turf war being waged by underworld gangs following the death of Benetucci. It was mainly for this reason that the Giovanni agreed to help drive out the Sabbat invaders. Ordinarily, they would have kept out of the whole mess, but when the troubles brought about the possibility of problems for the family, it suddenly became their business as much as the Camarilla's.
And as well as this fact, Valentine had to confess, he had grown quite fond of this old city and did not appreciate a bunch of Sabbat misfits trying to take over. If London was to be removed from within the Camarilla's grip, he would much prefer to see his own family gain control...but that was a thought for another night...

Sabbat Venue Setting:

When Bishop Paolo Escobar received his superior's message containing his orders, while in his haven in Madrid, he was delighted.
The City of London was old and powerful, and everyone knew that the pathetic Camarilla fops and their weak poseur Prince had held that power for far too long!
He was therefore honoured to be given the job of leading the initial hit-and-run attacks on the city.
Taking several packs of his most loyal, trusted, and capable associates, the Bishop travelled to Her Majesty's shores and established a base within Chiddingstone Castle, some miles outside the city itself, hoping to use the element of surprise in his primary assaults.
His tactical expertise had proved invaluable at first, but then the Camarilla idiots had enlisted help from mongrels and inbred freaks.
Despite his troops being defeated in the most recent battle, the Bishop was heartened by the fact that they had left behind them a lasting scar on the face of the Camarilla - a city without a leader would be so much easier to defeat. Escobar doubted that their previous helpers would be so quick to lend their aide to the city now that Lord "everyone's friend and all-round goody-two-shoes" Harrington had been unceremoniously destroyed.
However, regardless of what aide they did or did not receive in the future and regardless too of which feeble-minded, dusty Camarilla elder sat on the throne next, the Bishop knew that the next time that his forces attacked, they would be better prepared, and this time, he felt sure, they would be victorious. The City of London, the jewel in the Camarilla crown would, one day soon, be under Sabbat control...be under his control!
